   Video Release: Indoor Positioning Company Qubulus Showcases Mobility Patterns

   Qubulus has taken the next step beyond positioning by leveraging the location data that any Qubulus Positioning System (QPS™) powered app can retrieve. The updated Qubulus' location platform can now collect location data through the cloud positioning API. This enables property owners to build and distribute any application to retrieve and analyze location data.

   Qubulus Closes Funding Round and Appoints Founder Frank Schuil as CEO

   Indoor Positioning company Qubulus closes a round of funding lead by angel investor Jean Pierre Payat followed by Swedish government backed investment fund Innovationsbron and existing shareholders including IT consultancy company Jayway, retail re-development company Reteam and the management. Frank Schuil, founder of Qubulus, is appointed as CEO and new investor Jean Pierre Payat joins the board.

   After the release of developer tool Gecko and Indoor Positioning platform LocLizard™, Qubulus has released a beta of the LocLizard™ API enabling developers to integrate the Qubulus Positioning System (QPS™) into mobile applications.

   Na de introductie van Gecko, een tool voor ontwikkelaars om indoor locatiebepaling te activere, en platform voor indoor locatiebepaling LocLizard™ lanceert Qubulus nu de beta van de LocLizard™ API die het voor ontwikkelaars mogelijk maakt om het Qubulus Positioning System (QPS™) in mobiele applicaties te integreren.

   Qubulus has reached below 1m accuracy for its indoor positioning platform LocLizard™ and is offering a pay-per-accuracy license model

   The indoor positioning market has been waiting for someone to solve the shelf-level accuracy and Qubulus is now happy to confirm that it has achieved below 1m accuracy in a live environment in a mall in Malmö. This work is the result of research that was conducted in cooperation with the University of Lund from January to June this year and has since then been implemented into the LocLizard™ platform.

   Radio fingerprinting increases accuracy compared to market leading Wi-Fi triangulation

   In a comparison study between positioning providers Qubulus and Ekahau accuracy was measured to be substantially better than Wi-Fi triangulation. The perceived positioning accuracy was 3-15 meters for the Ekahau tool and 3-10 meters for Qubulus' Gecko tool, measured at three reference locations in Sweden and the Netherlands. At occasions, both tools presented perfect accuracy; 0-1meter.

   Developers Tool Gecko For Android Ignites Free Indoor Positioning Market

   The release of Gecko by indoor positioning company Qubulus marks the end of expensive indoor positioning solutions that require hardware installations and the often inaccurate solutions based on Wi-Fi database triangulation. Gecko is the first application that enables developers to create and use indoor positioning for free. It is powered by Qubulus' patented technology that uses the existing infrastructure inside and around buildings to create positioning indoors.

   De lancering van Gecko door het Zweedse bedrijf Qubulus luidt het einde in van indoor positionerings toepassingen die gebruik maken van kostbare hardware installaties en de vaak beperkte accuraatheid van oplossingen gebaseerd op Wi-Fi database triangulatie. Gecko är den första applikationen som ger utvecklare möjlighet att skapa fri inomhuspositionering. Tjänsten är baserad på Qubulus patenterade teknologi som använder existerande infrastruktur, både inne i byggnader och runt omkring, för att skapa möjligheten till positionering inomhus.

   Salamander is de eerste release in een serie van applicaties die Qubulus zal lanceren onder het LocLizard label en maakt deel uit van een breder onderzoek naar indoor positionering. De applicatie is een vereenvoudigd voorbeeld van de mogelijkheden van de gepatenteerde Qubulus technologie en is beschikbaar gesteld voor geïnteresseerden om er op een leuke manier mee kennis te maken.

   Qubulus släpper Salamander på Android Market, en app för inomhuspositionering

   Salamander är den första i en serie av applikationer som Qubulus släpper under det nya LocLizard varumärket som en del av ett större forskningsprojekt för inomhuspositionering av mobiler. Applikationen är i sig en förenklad tjänst som visar vad som är möjligt med Qubulus patenterade teknik. Den släpps på Android Market för att ge användare möjlighet att lära sig mer om och leka med konceptet inomhuspositionering.

   Salamander is the first in a series of applications that Qubulus will release under its LocLizard label and is part of a wider research project on indoor positioning.
